Two weeks ago I was inside the goat shed milking Maple and most of my hens were scratching around in the shed looking for bits of dropped grain and drinking from the strip cup (the first few squirts of milk that you toss out because of their high bacteria levels). Anyway, there I was milking away when I heard this very strange Urrr urrr urr sound. It was a lot like a rooster crow, but not quite right. Then, I heard it again so I peeked out and there was Beep. He was the source of the sound.
