Well, I still haven’t had a chance to work more on this, but here are some interesting e-mails I’ve gotten from people around the world (well the northwest at least) on goats in literature. You people from other parts of the country and the world, get hopping on this. Are only Northwesterners both lovers of literature and goats?
As far as literature, how about those famous “Three Billy Goats Gruff”?
Pheasant Meadow Bed & Breakfast
I used to keep dairy goats in southern Oregon. One of my favorite quotes was something a friend made in needlepoint and kept on her wall. You can verify it on Google, and it would be a great footnote to the page on breeding, since goats have of course always been the way they are!
“The lust of the goat is the bounty of god.”
